Not sure what to say?

Judy loved God, her family, friends and teaching children. She was a fun and fun-loving person. We had good times together attending live theater together with Colleen. She was generous to so many in so many ways. She will be missed by many. Love you, Judy!

Judy was such an amazing and kind person, and I'm so lucky to have grown up with her around. She was my older sibling's elementary teacher, and quickly became a family friend. I'll never forget having her over for every Thanksgiving and playing card games, and getting to hear all her wonderful stories. Last time I saw her was at my highschool graduation party 2 years ago... I wish I got one last chance to see her and say goodbye. I'll miss you dearly Ms. Wilcoxson.

Judy was always a bright star in our BSF group! She always loved bringing lots of goodies to our BSF fellowships. I always loved her joy for life and how much she always helped out those in need.

I'll never forget the Hendricks graduation dance. Judy and I had more fun than the students doing the twist. We had a captivated audience and we really had a great time. She was a very dear friend of mine. Carolyn Kafader

Judith's Obituary

Judith (Judy) K. Wilcoxson, 85, born in Longview, Washington, passed away on February 25, 2026. Judy graduated from Everett High School and Washington State University. She was married to James (Jim) Wilcoxson for 39 years until Jim passed away in March 2006.

Judy had a rich and varied career, teaching school in Okinawa, Japan, as well as in Nevada, North Carolina, and Arizona. She also loved working at two different Hallmark stores and served as both a church secretary and a flight attendant. In 1981, Judy and Jim moved to Chandler, Arizona, to pursue two new endeavors — establishing a local lighting business and helping launch a new Presbyterian Church.

Together, Judy and Jim enjoyed countless Arizona Sun Devils, Cardinals, and Diamondbacks games over the years, and loved camping and spending time with their six grandchildren. After Jim's passing, Judy continued teaching elementary school in the Mesa School District, retiring in 2015. She found community and continued spiritual growth through multiple Bible studies each week.

Judy is survived by her sons, Geoffrey and TJ, and her daughters-in-law, Darcy and Donna. Family and friends are invited to her memorial service on Friday, March 20th, from 9:00–10:00 a.m. at Tempe Mortuary.
