I met Judy in person through the Surface Design Art group . I first saw her work at an exhibit at The Shelburne Museum some months before and was entranced.
Her sense of colour , her wonderful curves, her words about each quilt touched me deeply.
I felt so lucky to have met her . I loved to hear her speak of her latest creative adventure.
She was so sharing , delightful , inspiring and warm.. Thank you Judy for gracing my life!

As a fellow quilt artist and teacher, Judy and I were colleagues and friends for many years. We met early in our careers and frequently spent time together at various events. As well as sharing our passion for quilts we both had a strong love for Vermont. Though I am Canadian my husband and I have owned a summer camp in Vermont for over 50 years and I was able to visit with Judy after she moved back to Greensboro. RIP my friend. You will be missed.

I met Judy many years ago when she taught a quilting class at the Newark Museum, and became friends since, having lived near one another in Boonton, NJ. I spent time with her loving family often, and remember their wonderful huge Christmas trees during the holidays. She will be missed but remembered by so many of those who knew her. My deepest sympathy to her family.
