I'm so sorry to hear of the untimely passing of Freddie. He was a great person and always cheerful. I have known Freddie for over 45 years, we actually played Pee-Wee football together.

My prayers and. condolence are send to members of the family Rest In Peace .

Julius's Obituary

Time to be Born: Mr. Julius Frederick Muse, Jr was born October 2, 1968, to the late Ruth Diane Muse and Julius Frederick Muse, Sr in Roanoke, VA. He was the eldest of four siblings. We thank God for lending him to us for 53 years.

 A Time to Flourish:  Freddie accepted Christ at an early age. He graduated from Patrick Henry High School in 1987, where he was an outstanding linebacker on the Patriots Football team. He had a great sense of humor and made friends everywhere he went.  He was a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles Fan. As an adult, he was an active and devoted member of United Christian Inner-City Ministry lead by Pastor Mike English. Freddie could be found very often assisting with Church activities, participating in choir and also played several instruments. He was always enthusiastic about working with the youth. He had a very loving relationship with his father Freddie Sr., and he loved his children very much. Freddie was loved by everyone who knew him.

 A Time to Love:  On February 14, 2016 Freddie married to his love Sonya Grogan Muse.  From this union they raised 4 lovely children together.

 A Time to Go Home:  On the afternoon of December 28th, 2021 the Lord called Freddie home to external rest.  Freddie Jr. was proceeded in death by his Mother, Ruth Diane Muse.

 A Time to Celebrate: Those left to rejoice in his memory are his loving, and devoted Father - Julius Frederick Muse Sr., Wife - Sonya Grogan Muse, Children –  Lyshawn Powell, Danielle Brown ( Mother, Cynthia Powell), Tia McDaniel, Kayla Diane Muse, Julius Frederick Muse III, and Sumayah Nicole Muse,  Sisters - Julia Muse Brown, Teresa Brown, Brothers - Clyde Muse and William MuseFour Grandsons, several nieces, nephews, Best friend – David Cobbs, Uncles – Leonard Muse, James Muse, Aunt’s - Sonya Brinkley, Francis Muse, Favorite Cousins – Debra, Jeannie-Lynn, Kenya, and Bubba, and host of friends that he grew up with in “LTP”.

A funeral service will be held 4:00PM Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Serenity. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service. A public viewing will be held Friday January 7, 2022 from 2pm-5pm at Serenity.
