I was the nurse to take care of Mr. Sears last weekend, seeing how much his son cared and helped with him, let me know he must've been a helluva man. I'm sorry for your family's loss, and I wish you the best in this time of grief- Jacob

Julius was always so kind and loving Uncle although,I still think of you all often .

Julius's Obituary

Julius Floyd Sears, Sr., 86, of Chloe, W.Va., died Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at WVU Medicine United Hospital Center, Bridgeport, W.Va.

He was born December 21, 1938, at Hallburg, W.Va. the son of the late Ora Bunyon and Estella Deel Sears.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandchild; four brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include his wife of 60+ years, Patricia A. Panzuto Sears of Chloe; children, Julius (Linda) Sears of Arnoldsburg, Lynn (Matt) Murphy, John (Karen) Sears and Jim (Shella) Sears all of Chloe; 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild; one brother, Hubert (Inez) Sears of Frametown, W.Va.

Mr. Sears was a retired pipeliner and a member of the Laborer’s Union Local 984, Clarksburg, W.Va. He was a member of the Pilgrim’s Rest Primitive Baptist Church, Big Otter, W.Va.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, July 6 at 2:00 p.m. at John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with Elder Tony Edwards officiating. Burial will be in the Enoch Sears Cemetery, Nebo, W.Va.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
