Karen Louise Herndon

Karen Louise Herndon (89) of Fallon Nevada passed away September 28, 2025, in Fallon.  She was born May 18,1936 in Chico, California to Donald and Ann Hannis. She attended Chico schools. She worked many years as a secretary, retiring from National Food Processors Association, Dublin California.  She was an avid genealogist and has traced the ancestors of her family and the families of many friends.  She was also an excellent seamstress, creating many costumes, quilts, aprons, and the much loved, microwave potholders. She was also a dedicated crafter who decorated her home with homemade crafts for every holiday. Her favorite activity was to visit new places; and she was blessed to travel to the countries of her ancestors after she retired.  Karen is survived by her daughters Catherine Herndon, Jana Dudley, Stacey Johnson and Vicki Tracy, all of Fallon, NV.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Alexa Robinson of Fallon, John Varga of Pahrump, NV, Ashley Pinney of Dayton, NV, Jenna Lloyd of Pioche, NV, Stephanie Barham of Dayton, NV, and Spencer Varga of Hemingford, Nebraska, 6 great- grandchildren and her brother Gerald Hannis of Chico, California.
