Karen Jean Strodtman

Karen Jean Strodtman, 69, of Carthage, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, November the 4th, 2025, at Mercy Joplin, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born May the 12th, 1956 in McPherson, Kansas to Lyle and Dorothy (Klinger) Denny. She graduated from Bluejacket High School. She was the wife of Kenneth Strodtman.

Karen worked many years as a Pharmacy Tech. She loved the outdoors. She greatly enjoyed gardening, caring for her flowers, attending events her grandchildren were involved in, travelling, and going to the beach.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth, of the home; two daughters, Meredith Richardson (Joe Snedden) of Vinita, and Michele Kralicek (Rickey) of Carthage, MO; a brother, Kirk Denny and wife Mary of Bluejacket, OK; and five grandchildren, Skyler, Sawyer, Kaden, Kesley, and Andrew.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, November 12th, at the Thomas & Chenoweth Funeral Home in Welch.
