Not sure what to say?

We never got to meet her since we live in different states, but we know she was a beautiful girl inside and out. You have our deepest sympathy. We know she is in the arms of Jesus now.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

I was so, so terribly sorry to hear of Karena's passing. I worked with her occasionally at American General over the course of our careers and thoroughly enjoyed (and looked forward to) every single interaction. As everyone already knows, she was such a sweet, hardworking and thoughtful person. She will be missed by all who knew her. My sincere condolences and heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.

So sorry to hear of your daughter Karena’s passing . That’s too young. God be with all of you and your family during this difficult time ❤❤

I am heartbroken over the loss of Karena. She was an absolute inspiration. Her ability to stay incredibly organized and her reputation for being a reliable and hard-working go-getter were matched only by her unwavering positive and encouraging presence. She brought a light to our team. I will miss her deeply.

God rest her soul, this makes my heart hurt. Such a joy of a person. Sending prayers to her family and friends.

I'm still trying to process the news of Karena passing. We worked together at AIG, we had some interesting conversations about family, education, life, and the legal system. She was always full of life.
To the Scholten Family, you are in my thoughts and prayer. You raised an amazing young lady. My God comfort and strengthen you.

Karena was my 3rd daughter's first friend in school. My Shelly was a toe-head blond and Karena was a strawberry red-head - wherever Karena was, there was Shelly. We moved to Texas in 1996, but the girls stayed in contact some. Karena was the sweetest young lady and very loving. She will be missed, but Heaven is sweeter.

Heartbroken doesn't begin to describe my feelings.

Although I met Karena at work, she became so much more than a "co-worker", she was my friend. When we were still at the office, all I had to do was make eye contact and she knew what I was thinking. She was a literal force to be reckoned with, I admired her ability to trouble shoot and problem solve...it was unmatched. She could see problems before they arose. She built a team that was recognized by everyone as the 'go to...
