It is with great sadness that I have just found out of Karl's passing. He was and always will be a true friend to my family.
HE was a large part of my life growing up, and with utter respect for him, I wish him peace with the lord. Bless you Lois,Kenny ,Keith and extended family. Love Mike Black & Family

Lois and family, we are deeply saddened by the passing of Karl.He was an incredible man and will be missed by our family.

I am so sorry for your loss. In all my years I never met any one like him. I always thught he was bullet proof. He will be missed not only by his family but the thousands lives he touched.

Dear Minor Family, we are so sorry to hear about Karl's sudden passing. May his indelible spirit live on and may fond memories of his unique existence comfort you during this difficult time.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Minor Family. You couldn't help but be inspired by Karl, whether it be to run more, be more accountable to those around you, or to work harder. Karl put the K in work. Bless his family.

I used to run alot of races in the 80s and remember Karl as being a very good runner and nice guy ... my prayers for him, family and other friends ...

Lindsey we are all here for you in this hard time. Try to stay strong and we will be here when you need us. Stay strong your grandpa would not want you to be sad.

Karl's Obituaries

Karl W. Minor, Sr. (1939-2012)Founder of KWM Gutterman, Inc. Age 73, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on December 7, 2012 at Covenant Hospice in Pensacola, Florida. Born March 25, 1939 in Otwell, Indiana to the late Eva (Pulaski) and Alva Minor, he married Lois. M. Youngren on January 22, 1961. Karl served his country as an Army Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne. He was a life member of VFW Cantigny Post, and he served sixteen years as a village trustee of Rockdale, Illinois. There in Rockdale, Illinois, Karl founded the family business, KWM Gutterman, Inc. working side by side with his sons. Wintering in Milton, Florida with Lois for the past 10 years. An elite marathon runner, world record-holding hunter, and an avid fisherman, Karl strived for the best- leaving quite the legacy for his family. Karl was preceded in death by his first-born son, Karl W. Minor, Jr. Survived by his loving wife, Lois; sons, Kenneth (Shelly) Minor and Keith (Lisa) Minor of Channahon, Illinois; grandchildren, Kendyl, Keith Jr., Kelly, Miranda, Nathan, Kinsey, Lindsey, and Kenneth Jr.; siblings, Helen, Norma, Alva, Dorothy, Linda, Janice, Dennis, Roger, Larry, Terry, Debbie, and Bobby (deceased) and numerous nieces and nephews.Funeral Services will be held, Thursday December 13, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home. Interment Elmhurst Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Memorials to the Joyce Goldenberg Hospice Inpatient Residence, 10074 Hillview Road, Pensacola, FL 32514 would be appreciated.
