Not sure what to say?

I called you several times and couldn´t understand why you weren´t calling me back like you always did, And to find out that you are now with John it broke my heart I´m sitting here crying because I didn´t get to speak to you one last time I´ll will cherish our friendship and memories Love always Kathy

My deepest thoughts and prayers are with you and your family

Dearest Katherine - there are no words to express the feeling of loss and void that we know will never be filled. You are a true example of the meaning "the family we choose". To us, you were friend, family and everything in between for all of these years. We will forever be thankful for our time spent together and the many memories that will live within us. We love you beyond words and will miss you forever !

What a special life. Lived with genuine, unflinching authenticity! Bringing laughter, joy, and memories to friends and loved ones. It is a true treasure to be able to "take hold of the life that really is life" (1 Timothy 6:19). My condolences Jim and brother Ed. Allow your shared memories of Katherine to keep her forever in your heart and mind.

You got our team through the busy seasons, year after year. Now that your race has been run, rest in God´s arms, Partner.

God be with you, you are at peace. You always made me laugh at work during some difficult times!

peace to the giver of great love

Fly with the angels Katherine! Keep on shining bright.

laughing merrily in the hallways of SAA surrounded by an entourage of friends is a fond memory of Kathy. May she rest in the peace of Our Lord

Obituary

KATHERINE L.'s Obituary

KATHERINE L. AHRENDT, age 75, beloved daughter of the late Marie T. (nee Majoros) and Edward J. Ahrendt, Sr.; loving companion of Jim Cullen; dear sister of Edward J. Ahrendt, Jr. (the late Bobbi, her beloved sister-in-law), the late Donna M. Ahrendt and John S. Ahrendt; loving aunt of Nicole Ahrendt, Stephanie Faulk (Mitchell) and Geoffrey Fox (Emoline); great-aunt of Hanna, Hailey, Jimmy and Dylan.

Katherine was gifted with a natural authenticity.  Her core values and beliefs perfectly aligned with her true self.  She neither sought approval from others nor surrendered to social pressure.  She would never compromise on what she believed to be a higher truth to accommodate another's feelings.

Her authenticity endeared her to so many.  By being true to herself, she attracted people into her life who so appreciated her for the force of nature she was.  In her presence, you immediately found that you, in turn, were empowered to be your authentic self.  A precious gift.  She was very funny (often without trying).  She was irreverent.  She was transparent.  She wore her heart on her sleeve.  She was wonderfully impossible.  There was no one like her.  Those who knew her best, and loved her without condition, delighted in her so.

God, through His grace, threw away the golden mold after He made Katherine.  She was gloriously one of a kind.

May she now rest in God's loving arms.

She passed away November 20, 2024.  Funeral Mass Tuesday, November 26, St. Adalbert Church (66 Adalbert St., Berea) at 11 A.M.  Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.  Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of BEREA, 86 ADALBERT ST.
