Kathleen V. McAtaveyDover – Kathleen V. McAtavey, 91, of Langdon Place in Dover and formerly of The Villages, Florida, died Saturday December 14, 2013 at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital.She was born February 18, 1922 in Agawam, MA the daughter of Forrest Norris and Catherine (Hayden) Geoffrion.Kathleen worked for many years as an administrative assistant in the Division of Continuing Education at the University of New Hampshire and also worked for the superintendent of schools in Dover. She was predeceased by her parents, her first husband Brandon Letellier, and a brother Forrest Norris.Kathleen is survived by her husband Donald McAtavey of Dover, five children Kathleen Letellier and her husband Robert Gordon of Dover, Lauren Letellier and her husband Christopher Atkins of NYC, Brandon Letellier Jr. and his wife Marie of Watertown, MA, Mary Duffy of Somersworth, Matthew Letellier and his wife Therese of Eliot, ME, four step children James McAtavey and his wife Nancy of Dover, Dennis McAtavey of Dover, Gerald McAtavey of Roanoke, VA, Richard McAtavey and his wife Brenda of Rollinsford, and four grandchildren Kara Duffy, Jack Letellier, Madalyn Letellier, Neil Letellier, and several nieces and nephews.Kathleen enjoyed her recent years in The Villages, Florida and traveling with her husband Donald. Kathleen had a passion for cooking and interior decorating throughout her life that manifested itself into wonderful meals and lovely surroundings. Kathleen loved music and possessed a delightful singing voice. She studied dancing in her youth and enjoyed it all her life. She will be greatly missed by her husband, family, and all who loved her.A private graveside service will be held in the spring at St. Mary Cemetery. Arrangements are by Tasker Funeral Home 621 Central Ave., Dover, NH.The family would like to thank the staff at the Langdon Place and also the Garrison Wing level four of Wentworth Douglass Hospital for their wonderful care.
