Kathryn A. Adams

Kathryn A. Adams, 71, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Hickory Creek at Sunset in Greencastle, Indiana, where she had been a resident for ten years. She was born in Johnson County, Indiana on December 7, 1954; a daughter of the late Wendell and Barbara (Mitchell) Wirey. 

On June 17, 1988, she married Robert R. “Bob” Adams in Lizton, Indiana; he survives. 

Kathryn graduated from Zionsville High School in 1973. She was employed as a nurse's aide at VNS.  

Kathryn enjoyed solving crosswords and playing Bingo. 

Survivors include her husband, Bob Adams of Cloverdale, Indiana; sons, Matthew Wesley Moore of Indianapolis and Larry Moore, Jr. of Anderson; one grandson; brother, Edward Lee Wirey of Danville, Kentucky; and sister, Martha Jane Robertson of Poland, Indiana.   

In addition to her parents, Kathryn was preceded in death by her siblings, Timothy J. Wirey, Jeffrey L. Wirey, and Kenneth W. Wirey and her brother-in-law, Lonnie Kenney Robertson. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Porter and Hunt Funeral Home, 6 S. California Street, in North Salem, Indiana. Visitation from 12:00 noon until the time of services. Interment will follow services at Fairview Cemetery in North Salem.
