KATHY's Obituary

     Kathleen Marie “Kathy” Musser Prough, 75, of Henderson, Kentucky, died Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at the home she shared with her husband John.  Kathy battled Multiple Sclerosis for over 21 years. 

     Devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Kathy made an impression on many.  Born and raised in Akron, Ohio, Kathy was a Buckeye by birth but a Kentuckian by choice.  She enjoyed reading, crocheting and spending time with her family.

     Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mary Musser, and her brother, Michael.

     She is survived by her husband of 52 years, John; her children, Maryann Myers, Susie Hatcher (Matt), Terry Wessel (Dusten), and John Jr. (Kristin); her grandchildren, Tyler and Abby Hatcher, Sam Myers, Connor Roberts, Scarlet Prough, Stella, Parker and Everleigh Wessel; her sisters, Rosemary Cottrell (Chuck), Janet Bissett (Jack), Pat Marks, and Diane Davis (Ed); her brother, Jim Musser (Lisa); along with numerous nieces and nephews.

     Services will be at noon Friday, November 8, 2024, at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.  Father Richard Meredith, Father Carmelo Jimenez, Father Anthony J. Shonis, and Father Christopher Grief will officiate.  Inurnment will be in St. Louis Cemetery Mausoleum.

     Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2024, and from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Friday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home, where a prayer service and a rosary will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday with Father John M. Thomas.

     In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tri-State Multiple Sclerosis.

     Kathy’s family would like to offer a special thanks to St. Anthony’s Hospice and Intrepid Home Health, both of which provided physical and emotional care and support.
