Not sure what to say?

Sincere sympathies to the family. Keith was one in a million. I do cherish the times we spent having a cigar and talking about the mentors we both had in common, music, and beer history.

Well my friend, I won't be seeing your beautiful face anymore except when I join you. Candace and Carm you have lost a remarkable person, prayers and hugs to both of you. I can hear him playing piano and Harry singing the schnitzel bunk. Rest in peace my best friend

Sincere sympathies to the Boesenecker family on Keith's passing. Keith and I go way back from working together at the Bavarian Inn and Zehnders, to collecting Frankenmuth memorabilia together for many years. He will be missed.

God's peace be with you.

our house was right behind Boesneker's house when the kids were little. i would babysit as i was a teenager at the time they were young. i remember Keith as a very nice young man. so sorry to all the family. Jean Wenzel Noren. Blue Springs MO.

Oh, the aroma in heaven! I’ve never had a cigar remotely comparable to Keith’s masterpiece. And he always threw in a couple extras on the house. Although I haven’t seen Keith in a long time, I also have the memory of an elephant. I’ll never forget commiserating with him wherever he was playing piano. As a distant cousin from multiple generations back, he still knew everything about our family history, just like Harry Lee, with whom I share a middle name. Keith’s piano skills were...

My friend. I sure am going to miss you. Hugs and prayers to the family. Frankenmuth has a great loss because of his vast knowledge of its history handed down by his father. I'm sure he's playing the piano in heaven.

Such a kind soul with a great sense of humor and an amazing memory for the history of the town. He will certainly be missed.

To Candice and family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you as you deal with the loss of Keith. May joyful memories sustain you through the sad times.

Keith's Obituary

Keith A. Boesnecker

Frankenmuth, MI

We are very sad to announce the passing of Keith Alan Boesnecker on the morning of November 13, 2025, at Health Source in Saginaw; age 73 years. He was born on May 29, 1952, to the late Harry and Rosalie Boesnecker in Saginaw, Michigan. He was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church.

Keith will be remembered for piano playing at several establishments around Frankenmuth. He was the lover of the Arts. He could draw whatever you wanted him to draw. He used this skill for many of his projects.

He wrote poetry, more during his younger years. He also wrote and composed a song about the state of Michigan with input from his sister, Carmela, to send into a competition the state was having.

He loved history of all kinds, especially, about the Breweries around town, around Michigan as well as around the world. He had a memory that didn’t quit. He was our go to when needing information regarding our family. Mom and Dad were always amazed by the things he remembered as far back as when he was two years old. Up until his illness, he still could tell you things from way back. He loved being with people. He enjoyed learning about people, places, and history (especially about Frankenmuth and Germany). If you asked him, he could tell you all about it.

He loved music most of all. He started playing piano at the age of two at his Schmitt grandparent’s house. He loved to sing and had the most beautiful voice. He could pick up any instrument and, within a few minutes, play it. He played by ear. He was in the Frankenmuth High School marching band where the band leader had him playing instruments that were needed at any time frame. His most recent years, he loved playing the portable keyboard, as a member, for the Gemütlichkeit Club with Dad.

He also had his hands on several entrepreneurial adventures. He had an associate’s degree in culinary arts for baking from Dunwoody College of Technology, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Keith worked at the Bavarian Inn Restaurant as the Head Baker; he then went on to be the Head Baker at Zehnder’s. Keith also helped start the bakery at IGA. Shortly after he created a bakery up in Gladwin for a short period of time. He founded RicKeiCon’s Pizza Delivery (the first 3 letters of each name) with brother-in-law Richard Aldrich and sister, Constance Johnson. The three of them moved the pizza company to what is now The Main Street Tavern, later selling the tavern. He founded the Frankenmuth Original Cigar Co, LLC along with his sister Constance Johnson. He loved making his Fat Rum Cigars! He also helped create the former Lager Horn Beer Museum in the old mill in town using his large collection of beer paraphernalia that was displayed there until he moved his collection to the Frankenmuth Museum when the Lager Horn Beer Museum closed.

Surviving are brother and sisters Ken Boesnecker, Candice (Amir) Fayaz, Constance Johnson, and Carmela Stuart (Jeff Lutzke); nephew and niece Stuart (Alexandra) Aldrich and Trisha (Tommy) Lane; six step nephews and niece, Amanda and Matthew Gaudreau, Aaron, Brent, Chad Lerash, and Eric Johnson; and good friend David Locke as well as his dachshund, Zues. Keith was preceded in death by a very close cousin Patricia Boesenecker, special aunt Margretta Conzelmann, sister-in-law Vickie Boesnecker, niece Jillian Boesnecker and brother-in-law Charles Stuart.

Funeral Service will take place on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola, Frankenmuth, Michigan. Keith’s family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place Friday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Lorenz Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Lorenz Lutheran Music Program or St. Lorenz Media Ministry.
