Kendrick was born in Gary, Indiana the son of Willie James Walker Jr. and Rose Mary Strong. "Duke" or "BooBey" as he was affectionately known was born July 31, 1982. On November 24,2025, GOD decided he was ready to be reunited with the present he gifted to his Earthly parents 43 years ago.
K.T. attended School in the Great City of Gary, Indiana through Gary Community School Corporation until his senior year. While at an early age giving his life to GOD. Kendrick was a person of many skills wearing several hats. He was a natural born leader; some might say a Family Cook or a Grill Master he took pride knowing that he was a real man of nature. Being able to hunt, fish and provide food if there ever was a shortage made him feel great and added value to his "resume" as he would often say.
Kendrick had an old soul knowing and reciting what you would hear Elders say. Like keep living, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink and the most important one was the early bird catches the worm. He was an early riser calling and texting those he loved saying Grand Rising Beautiful people of Zumunda! Kendrick was a protector, genuine an all-around standup guy. He made it his business to make sure his children felt and knew they were loved no matter the distance from calling by video, to texting, or phone calls. If you never actually met him, he used Facebook as his "personal platform" to connect to family all over. Known as #IAMKINGPETTY he was Facebook Famous! There are so many great things to be said, but we will be here all day. Yashua we thank you for 43 years!
Kendrick leaves to cherish his life his parent's father, Willie J. (Lynette) Walker Jr; mother, Rose (Marvin) Strong; his children: Kendrick Jr., Taisha, Jeremiah, Tisheanna, Kamya, Kemani and Michaya Walker; grandson, Kendrick III "K3"; three sisters: Earlene Tolliver, Althea and Katrina Walker; brother, Willie Jermaine III; bonus sister and brother, Latasha & Marvin Jr; longtime partner, Renee Cooper and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
