There are simply not enough kind things to say about Kenneth. He was a wonderful friend to my family. He lit up every room he walked into and fiercely loved Lindsay and his children and grandchildren in a way that is indescribable. I’m so deeply sorry for your loss. I hope the beautiful memories of him carry you through the coming days.

I am devastated to hear of Kenneths passing. His light shone brilliantly everywhere i encountered him. I've known him all his life. A Child, A Boy, A Man.. A Man of Character, integrity, and the inherent kindness He shared with everyone. I will miss Kenneth deeply. My heart and sincere prayer are for some comfort to his Wife, Children, and his Siblings and all his loving family.

Kenneth Lee Drake, 48, husband of 25 years to Lindsay Drake, passed away March 22, 2026, in Lexington, KY. Kenneth was born January 11, 1978, in Lexington, KY to Samuel Drake and the late Candy (Jones) Drake.
Faithful, charismatic, selfless, encouraging, hilarious, humble, and hardworking are just a few of the words those who were honored to know Kenneth would use to describe him. A strong man of God and character, he was always there to lend a hand to anyone in need. Without being asked, he was the first to jump in and offer help. He loved to build and create and would try to fix or improve anything before hiring it done. He was a man of many talents, integrity, and so very full of light. His personality shone bright to all who knew him. Though he fought hard for 10 long months, he never once complained or felt sorry for himself. Instead, he was constantly uplifting those around him and was a beacon of hope for his family and friends, always the one to bring a smile to those around him. For over 25 years Kenneth and Lindsay shared a deep love and friendship. Together, they enjoyed working their hobby farm and basking in the life they built together. Some of his most happy times were spent on his tractor, tinkering in his barn, and tending to his animals and land. He was so very proud of all of his children and bragged on them every chance he got. One of his greatest joys in life was his four granddaughters, and he often spoke of them “making life better”. He was so eager to meet his fifth grandbaby, due in October. His dedication to those he loved was cherished and will be greatly missed by us all.
Including his wife Lindsay Drake of Harrodsburg, KY and his father Samuel Drake, Kenneth was survived by his five children, Kinley Smith (Trevor) of Lawrenceburg, KY, Ian Drake, Isaac Drake, Ryan Drake, and Riley Drake; five grandchildren, Wren Smith, Elli Smith, Daphne Smith, Nova Smith, and one on the way; two sisters, Heidi Stapp (Rob) of Texas, and Tracy Drake of Connecticut; and a brother, Sam Drake (Amanda) of Lawrenceburg, KY.
A Celebration of Kenneth’s Life will be held at 4PM Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Anderson Christian Church, 1631 US-127 North Bypass, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342. All flower arrangements should be delivered to the church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, Lawrenceburg, KY. Condolences may also be expressed at www.ritchieandpeach.com.
