SOUTHBURY

Kenneth J. Dwyer Jr.

“Loving son, brother & friend”

Kenneth J. Dwyer Jr., 30, of Southbury, unexpectedly left us here on earth and entered into the gates of heaven on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at his home.

Kenny was born in Waterbury on September 8, 1988, son of Kenneth Sr. and Robin (Jones) Dwyer.  He proudly owned and operated Dwyer’s Landscaping for 12 years until starting to work his current job as a Developmental Services Worker for Southbury Training School.

A true outdoorsman, Kenny loved fishing, hiking and sitting around bonfires with loved ones.  He was a loyal NY Giants fan and loved listening to music; he always knew every lyric to every song.  He was also a competitive card player who took pride in his Monday Night Set Back League.  Above all, Kenny was a devoted and loving person whose greatest joy came from being around those he loved.

Kenny truly loved life, even with his ups-and-downs and his difficult struggles, which included addiction; his blue eyes, smile and personality brought happiness to all.  He will be dearly missed by all of his friends and family.  Kenny, this time we will be “coming up the hill” until we meet again.

Besides his parents, Kenneth Sr. and Robin Dwyer of Southbury, Ken leaves behind to cherish his memory his siblings; Megan Dwyer, Christopher Dwyer, both of Waterbury and Lauren Dwyer and Ricky of Southbury, his significant other; Chrissy Rivera-Garcia of Waterbury and her children; Levaeh Maia, Tekoa Maia and Joshua Rivera, his grandmothers; Dolores Dwyer and Jean Jones, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his grandfathers; Howard F. Dwyer Sr. and George R. Jones Sr.

Arrangements:  A funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, 8:45 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial, The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury to St. John of the Cross Church in Middlebury for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m.  Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery.  Calling hours will be held Monday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
