Kenneth "KC"'s Obituary

Kenneth Charles Lynch, Jr. April 17, 1987 - September 24, 2023 Taken suddenly, KC was the beloved son of Elizabeth Olson Lynch and Kenneth Charles Lynch, Sr. He was cherished as well by his stepmom Amy Lynch, and his younger brother Allen (Jaelyn) Butterfield and sister Paige Butterfield. KC was the grandson of Mona and (the late) Jennings Olson, and (the late) Daniel and Katharine Lynch, and a much loved nephew and cousin, friend, and co-worker. An alumnus of the Parkway Central High School Class of 2005, KC earned a baseball scholarship at Missouri Baptist University and, later, studied at Missouri State University. His work career was spent primarily in inventory management with multinational consumer electronics retailer, Best Buy Co. Inc. At the time of his passing, he had only recently begun working as assistant warehouse manager at wholesale awards supplier, JDS Industries, located in Earth City. When not at work - or doting on his adorable long-haired dachshund, Charlie - KC could be found competing in a game of volleyball at the St. Peter’s Fireman’s Hall Volleyball Courts, or a soccer game with the Vetta St. Charles adult indoor soccer leagues, or refereeing - as “KOCO” - with the St. Peters Legends Kickball league. He also spent time, when he could find it, camping with friends along Missouri’s many river trails. When relaxing on his own, he loved to listen to music, and he was a specialist in console electronic gaming - the latest Xbox game would invariably find its way into his hands long before others even thought about buying one. Although his life ended sooner rather than later, KC charted his own path and made the most of the time given him. He was a fine young man, contented, quite smart, always curious, hard-working, and hard-headed and opinionated - especially about politics, which he loved to debate - and he brought an appealing exuberance and a lot of laughter whenever around others. Above all else, it was the people in his life KC prized most - his family and friends.

Everyone is invited to join us for a Celebration of Life for KC: A memorial visitation will be held from 10:00am - 11:00am with an 11:00am Celebration of Life Service to immediately follow on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Faith Chapel Assembly of God, 2327 Technology Drive, O’Fallon, MO 63368. faithchapelag.com A light reception will immediately follow. KC’s family welcomes donations to the charity of one’s choice as an expression of sympathy instead of flowers.KC's family is in the care of Martin Funeral Home.
