Kenneth. A man who could give and give, then give some more. His presence is missed beyond words. This was too hard to hear. Condolences to Sarah, Corey, Matt, Nate, and all his family and friends.

Kenneth's Obituary

Kenneth Neal "Kenny" Kilbride, 67, passed away surrounded by family at Calais Community Hospital in Calais, Maine, on March 17, 2025.

Kenny was born in Winthrop, Massachusetts, on September 10, 1957, he was the beloved son of William and Genevieve (MacDonald) Kilbride. Kenny graduated from Casa Grande High School with the class of 1975 in Petaluma, California. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving as a Gunners Mate aboard the USS Waddell, where he wore his uniform with immense pride and honor. After his service, he returned to Massachusetts and embarked on a career with the Essex County Sheriff’s Department. Kenny worked as a Corrections Officer, eventually retiring as a sergeant, though his dedication to service did not end there, as he continued to serve as an officer with the New England Reserve Police. In his later years, he worked for Homeland Security, ensuring the safety of all at the federal building in Portsmouth, NH.

Kenny was an avid Boston sports fan. He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, the satisfaction of completing home improvement projects, fishing. More than anything, his greatest joy was spending time with his family.

Kenny was predeceased by his parents, William and Genevieve Kilbride. Surviving are his beloved wife Sarah Kilbride of Calais, ME; two sons, Corey Kilbride of Calais, ME, and Matthew Kilbride of Hampton, NH; a grandson Nathan Kilbride; four brothers, Jack Kilbride and wife Tammy Thompson of Santa Rosa, CA, Michael Kilbride and wife Jackie of Salem, MA, Bill Kilbride of Salem, MA, and Mark Kilbride and wife Genie of Merrimac, MA; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ellen and Bill Crowley of Baring Plt, ME, Ann Kinney and companion John Brownwrig of Saint Andrews, NB, and Diane Comeau of Lynn, MA; numerous nieces and nephews; and his faithful canine companion Pongo.

A Memorial Service will be held for Kenny on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 2pm-4pm, at Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington Street, Lynn, MA. All are invited to attend.
