Kenneth Lee Van Camp of Glenpool, Oklahoma returned to the loving arms of the Father and the Son, Jesus Christ, thus completing this journey and experience in humanity, peacefully in his sleep, Papa Kenny, as we knew him will be missed by a host of family and friends.
Kenneth was born in Hayward, Ca to Kenneth and Diane VanCamp. He was the 2nd child of four children, Bill, Raymond and Catherine. The family lost Diane when Kenny was but 7 years old, and result was that Bill and Kenny moved into their grandmothers home, Minnie Lea Vancamp, while the youngest siblings stayed with their dad, Minnie raised Kenny and Bill in the Pentecostal Church.
Kenneth graduated Sebastopol High School. Kenny left California after that and traveled East, making stops in Arizona. New Mexico, Texas, then finally Oklahoma.
In Oklahoma he met Paulette Vancamp and her three children, they would eventually marry for 32 years. He was a hard worker, well read, intelligent, diligent, giving, bullheaded somewhat, that made him, him. Diehard Oakland Raider fan, involved in the children's life and when grandkids arrived, he took on the role of what he became known as, Papa Kenny.
Kenneth worked multiple jobs, over the years, but had a very lengthy stay with Oklahoma Natural Gas, he made many friends there. He was a very good carpenter, Uncle Jim Crall and Kenny built the house that Paulette still resides in. His presence will long be lasting as we look upon his handiwork.
Papa Kenny is survived by Paulette Vancamp of Glenpool, brother Bill Vancamp of Ukiah, Ca, daughter Carla Anderson and Husband David of Glenpool, and Son Jody Barnhart of Sapulpa, grandchildren Chase and Patricia Barnhart of Tulsa, Corey and Emily Barnhart of Sapulpa, Brooke Barnhart of Sapulpa, Caitlin and Chris Moore of Texas, Jonathan and Hannah Barnhart of North Carolina, Seth Barnhart and Abbigail Collier of Dewey, Abbigail and husband Johnny Delisle of Sapulpa, Dillon and Kelli Anderson of Tulsa, Madison, London and Dalton Anderson of Glenpool and twelve beautiful great-grandkids. Truly Blessed.
He is preceded to the Gods throne by Jon David Barnhart, son of Glenpool.
