Katie & Family; I'm sorry for your loss, it was a great loss. Lean on out Lord and Savior and he'll get you all through these difficult time. God Bless you all.

Thanks for all the good times my friend. I wouldn't have had holidays in Oklahoma without Katie , the boys and yourself. Always gave me a home away from home. You will be missed and the keeping in contact over the years was always appreciated. You are not in pain anymore. Keep an eye out for us! Love ya bud.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Prayers for Katie, Kenneth, Troy and families, I know this is a difficult time and you are all in my prayers. I pray that God helps you through this and comfort you in your families.

He was a very good man and a very good friend of my father Leo Turner, he will be greatly missed. May God continue to comfort you and the family.

Kevin's Obituary

Kevin Paul Brueggen, 62, died at home November 11, 2024.  He was born to Phil Brueggen and Mildred (Wolf) Brueggen, December 21, 1961 in Okarche.  He was raised northeast of Okarche on the family farm and graduated from Okarche High School in 1980.  While in high school he completed Diesel Mechanics at Canadian Valley Vo-Tech.

He married Katherine “Katie” Luckinbill on October 17, 1987 in Guthrie, OK.  They lived in Kingfisher for 32 years before moving to Okarche in 2019.

Kevin worked for Sandusky, Lemon Bros., and Rother Bros., before going to work for Pioneer Telephone in December of 1980 where he worked until retirement in April 2019.  Kevin and his brother Gerry farmed as well as custom swathing and baling for several years.  In 2011, Kevin and Katie started K & K Swathing & Baling until March 2024.  When Kevin wasn’t busy, he enjoyed hunting with his boys, family and friends.

Kevin is survived by his wife Katie, sons Kenneth (Allyson) of Okarche and Troy (Annessa) of Minco. Grandchildren Zander, Drake, and Scarlett.

He is also survived by sisters Elaine Stratton, Yvonne Hicks, Evelyn Elliott and Jeanie (Malik) Nathani, one brother Rick (Darla) and sister in law Cindy Brueggen.  

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Phil and Mildred Brueggen and brother Gerald.

Wake services will be at 6 p.m. Sunday November 17 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Okarche.  Mass of Christian Burial will also be at Holy Trinity at 10:30 a.m. Monday November 18, 2024.  Fr. Zac Boazman, Fr. Don Wolf, and Deacon Max Schwarz will officiate with burial following at Holy Trinity Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity, St. John’s and the First Baptist Church of Okarche youth groups.
