Kevin Chaney

Kevin Chaney, age 71 of Wakarusa, IN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday afternoon, January 21, 2026 at his residence.  He was born on February 6, 1954 in Baltimore, MD to Nancy Chaney.  On September 6, 1998, Kevin married Janice Lamaster McDermott in Boaz, AL.  Kevin had worked for the last 20+ years as an over the road trucker.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  Kevin is survived by his wife of over 27 years, Janice Chaney of Wakarusa, IN; 2 daughters: Angela (Alan) Davis of Grovertown, IN and Jennifer Mossell of South Bend, IN; a son, Martin McDermott of Nappanee, IN; and 12 grandchildren: Abbey, Emma, Josh, Elaina, Alex, Nevaeh, Kylie, Marissa, Rayanna, Lloyd, Martin Jr. and S.J. Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Chaney and a brother, Beall Chaney.  Cremation will take place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
