Kevin Lamar Mathis

Kevin Lamar Mathis, 55, passed away on April 01, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle in Columbus.

There will be a pot-luck style gathering along with Memorial Service on Sunday, April 07, 2019 at 2:00pm at the residence of his Sister Dona Nowland (8 Savannah Street, Columbus, MS 39702).

Kevin Mathis was born December 19, 1963 in Jackson, MS, to the late Thomas N. Mathis, Sr. and Betty Sue Harrell Mathis. He was loved by his family and known for his large personality and unique sense of humor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mona Sue Nowland Mathis; brother, Thomas N. Mathis, Jr. and brother in law, Mike Nowland and niece Danielle Nowland.

He is survived by his son Jeffery Alan (Kathryn) Mathis II, of Birmingham, AL, and daughter Gina (Joseph) Manley of Cumming, GA, siblings: Teresa Barksdale, Dona Nowland, Stan and Tricia Mathis and Jeffery Alan (Mary) Mathis, grandchildren: Garrett and Darren Manley and his beloved dog Talla.
