Kevin's Obituary

Kevin Allan Morgan, age 69 of Elwood, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025 at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood following a short, but courageous battle with cancer.  He was born Nov. 30, 1955 in Elwood, the son of Thomas D. and Eudora (Reichart) Morgan.  Kevin was a 1974 graduate of Elwood Community High School.  He married the love of his life, Cheyl D. McClintock, on Dec. 18, 1976, and they shared over 48 years of marriage together.  Kevin was currently employed at Integrity in Tipton for the past 14 years.  Prior to working at Integrity, he worked for Acraline, Textron, Excello, Red Gold, and Steel Slitting.  On his days off, Kevin would help Cheryl’s father, Norman McClintock with anything that needed accomplished.  He was a good son-in-law.  Kevin never stopped working hard, and he was even an exceptional home builder attentive to meticulous details.  Kevin was a member of Omega Christian Church.  He enjoyed being outdoors splitting wood and working on his tractor.  Kevin also collected many different types of knives over the years, and he loved to cook on his grill year-round.

Kevin was much more than just a hard-working provider for his family, He was also a very quiet, gentle and caring man.  Kevin enjoyed taking numerous memorable trips with his wife and family to the mountains in Pigeon Forge, Shipshewana, and tagging along with Cheryl to antique malls.  He was incredibly generous, humble, caring and kindhearted.  Kevin had a soft spot in his heart for animals, but he loved nothing more in this world than his family.  He will be remembered for never complaining and being the most supportive husband, uncle, son, and brother a person could be.  Kevin’s family finds comfort knowing he is in Heaven.

Kevin’s family includes his wife of over 48 years, Cheryl Morgan of Elwood; 2 siblings, David (Rita) Morgan of Kokomo and Marsha (Matt) Fettig of Kokomo; mother-in-law, Sue McClintock of Elwood; brothers and sisters in law, Terri (Mark) Elliott of Shirley, AK, Randy (Erica) McClintock of Elwood, and Amber (Mike) Courtney of Elwood; nieces and nephews, Michelle (Steven) Todd, Christine (Srikanth) Thumma, Nicole (Mark) Carlson, Amanda Altherr, and Alyssa Courtney; great nieces and nephews, Andrew Todd, Amaira Thumma, Kaira Thumma, Olivia Carlson, Justin Carlson, Alex Altherr, and Ollie Altherr; close friends, Jan and David Cline and granddaughter, Jerrika Robinson-Fuller, close friend, Sue Vida, good friends, Ranny and Janice Simmons; special cat, “Kit”; and Jason, Moe, Donna, Tiffany, Pam, and all of his friends at Integrity.
