Not sure what to say?

I have always loved Kim and her family since I was real young and our backyards connected. Melissa, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Lord knows your little family has experienced so much loss. Love you guys very much

My beautiful, sweet, sweet cousin. You had a heart of gold. Life is so unfair. God truly gained an Angel. I hope you are with your loved ones having a huge party drinking your Mountain Dew and dancing to some Elvis. Give everyone kisses and hugs from me. Love you so much.

I love you Mom

Obituary

Kim's Obituary

Kimberly Denise Harper Ritchie, age 58, passed away on April 6, 2025, at her residence in Frankfort, KY. She was born in Louisville, KY on April 13, 1966, to the late James Harper and Sheila Fay Montgomery Jesse.

Along with her parents, Kim was preceded in death by two sisters, Jackie Miller and Kristy Hatter.

Kim was a 1984 graduate of Anderson County High School and a bright light to everyone who knew her. She had a deep love for wolves and dream catchers, a passion for shopping, and a well-known fondness for Mtn. Dew. Kim never met a stranger—her warm spirit and joyful heart made everyone feel like family. She adored Elvis, loved going for rides with the music turned up, and her silly, contagious laugh could brighten even the darkest days. Above all, Kim cherished her grandson, who was her pride and joy—she truly believed he hung the moon. Her vibrant soul and unforgettable laughter will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Kim is survived by her partner, Danny Hamilton of Frankfort, KY; her daughter, Melissa Perkins of Frankfort, KY; grandson, Ethan Jase Parker; brother-in-law, Michael Hatter; nieces, Tarrah Miller, Kelsie Miller, and Olivia Hampton; and nephew, Caleb Hatter.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, honoring what would have been Kim’s 59th birthday. A graveside service will follow on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Noon at the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Danny Hamilton, Melissa Perkins, Kelsie Miller, Cody Dennis, Ethan Jase Parker, and Darren Wainscott.
