Not sure what to say?

Mr. Vellios was a good man and touched the lives of many kids, myself included. I have fond memories of my days at Lyndover grade school and jr. high (1969 - 1978) when he was the assistant principal with and Mr. (Bill) Reed and them having to corral a bunch of unruly kids into order (myself included). I ran into them several times over the years after I moved on and it was always good to see them.

A wonderful teacher and very caring man. So many at Maplewood-Richmond Heights Junior High School remember him very fondly!! He will be missed!

Learned a great deal from Mr. Vellios. A great teacher, and a great example. RIP.

Loved Mr. Kon Vellios, he was a fair and very nice man.

Dear Vellios Family, We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Kon. He was an absolutely wonderful man and a great neighbor. I always enjoyed visiting with Kon and Katherine when I would be visiting my grandparents across the street as a kid. I was even more fortunate to live across the street from Kon and Katherine after college and the first several years of our married life. Even after we moved from dogtown we were still able to stop by once in a while with the kids while at the zoo. ...

Uncle Kon you will be missed. I treasure all your trips to Massachusetts and when I moved to Louisville, Ky Your trips to see me to explore the city.

On the road again...

Kon- a gentle man and true gentleman! You will be missed.
