Kristy Lynn Trent, age 42, passed away Sunday November 16, 2025, at Saint Joseph hospital in Lexington, KY. Born in Versailles, KY on November 26, 1982, Kristy is the daughter of Kenny Trent, Sr. (Jenny) and Sue Cook.
Kristy enjoyed spending her days riding her motorcycle and going boating. She was a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan and loved spending time with her family. Kristy was employed with the state of Kentucky in the Fleet management department. There she oversaw the purchasing and maintenance of state-owned vehicles. Her family said she loved her job and enjoyed working for her department. Kristy will be deeply missed by a host of friends and family who loved her very much.
Kristy is survived by two sons, Chase Alan Sturm and Kale Andrew Trent; her parents, Kenny Trent Sr. (Jenny) and Sue Cook; two brothers, Kenny Lee Trent, Jr. (Sharon) and Brian Kirby Trent (Brittany); one sister, Kenzie Trent; and nieces and nephews, Brandon Hockensmith (Nicole), Sarandon Schell (David), Jade Re’nee Trent, Kaleb Trent, Lexi Lewis (Evie), Destiny King; one great-nephew, J.D. Schell; and many other friends and family.
Visitation will be held 4PM – 8PM Thursday, November 20th and 11AM until the time of service at 1PM Friday, November 21st at Ritchie and Peach Funeral Home. Bro. George Blakeman will officiate.
