L.'s Obituary

(Psalms 34:1-3: I will bless the Lord at all times and his praises shall continue to be in my mouth. V.2: My soul shall make its boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear of it and be glad. V.3: Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.

L. G. Forrest, Jr. graced this world with his presence on December 14, 1956 to L. G. Forrest, Sr. and Tommie Dell Haggerty-Turner, both preceded him in death. Two brothers, Odell Forrest, and Kenneth Wayne Forrest; sister, Kimberly Forrest; brother-in-law, James Ray Waldon; nephews, Kendrick Dewayne Forrest, Aaron Bernard Forrest, Randy Bernard Forrest; and great nephew, Demont'e Earl Forrest all preceded him in death.

L. G., Jr., (BKA) Ricky and Soldier Boy, grew up in Scottsville Texas and graduated from Marshall High School in 1976. He served in the Navy. He retired from USA Trucking.

L. G. was the type of man who strived to succeed no matter what it took. He was a man who gave out of his heart and was willing to help wherever he could. Everyone who knew L. G. knew that he loved his family.

L. G. Forrest, Jr. was the father of four children, Kametrice Boone, L. G. Spratling both of Longview, Texas, Corderreo Forrest of Tyler, Texas and Cameron Forrest of Karnack, Texas; two brothers, William Forrest (Gwen) of Marshall, Texas and Barrie Forrest (Arleater) of Lancaster, Texas; four sisters, Irene Forrest of Marshall, Texas, Barbara Waldon of Dallas, Texas, Kathryn Gray (Thomas) of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Effie Jackson (Illya) of Glen Heights, Texas. 

He also leaves to cherish his memory eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and dear friends all whom he loved very much.
