I did not know her personally but I am friends with the family. I know how she struggled and my hope is that she can Rest In Peace now. Her suffering is over.

Lachhi Maya Basnet, 86, of Cedar Rapids, died at home on Friday, September 23, 2022 following a long struggle with cancer. Services: Saturday at Teahen Funeral Home.
Lachhi is survived by her three sons, four daughters; grandsons and granddaughters; plus, great grandsons and great granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1998.
Lachhi was born on January 1, 1936 in Dagana, Bhutan, daughter of Lal Bahadur Karki. She married Khamba Singh Basnet, and was a wonderful housewife and mother.
Lachhi was a very pleasant woman who enjoyed gardening and growing beautiful flowers. She was very family oriented and adored being around her kids and grandchildren. Lachhi will be deeply missed.
