Mr. Larry Joseph Drew, Sr., 66, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024 at Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas in Beaumont,Texas.

Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Drew will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Mercy Funeral Home Chapel, located at 1395 Gladys Street in Beaumont, Texas 77701. A public viewing for Mr. Drew will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024 from 12:00 Noon until 5:00 p.m. and on Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Mercy Funeral Home Chapel. For your safety social distancing and facial masks are recommended.

 

Larry's Journey 

Larry Joseph Drew, Sr. was born on February 1, 1958 to the late Willie Marcus Drew, Sr. and the late Mae Ellen Drew in Beaumont, Texas. Larry was the seventh child out of eleven born to this union.He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Mae Ellen Drew; four sisters, Willie Mae, Nishie Ann, Linda, and Wanda Fay; three brothers, Ronnie Lee, Johnny L., and Timothy Wayne.Larry met and married Michelle Mouton, to this union one child, Larry Joseph Drew, Jr. was born. He was a graduate of Hebert High School, class of 1976. During his life he was employed by Coke, Reagent Chemical, and the City of Beaumont.On August 2, 2024, God saw fit to end his earthly journey and call him to his heavenly home.Those he leave behind to cherish his memories are Amanda Sam, Michelle Mouton-Drew; son, Larry Drew, Jr.; grandchildren, Shontaneece, Secoya, and Sayge; great-grandchildren, Sarah, Samirah, Saniah, and Terrale; two sisters, Roberta T. Joseph (Lawrence), and Karen J. Williams; one brother, Willie M. Drew, Jr. (Jackie); sister-in-law, Jerri Drew; brothers-in-law, Howard Joseph and Frank Molo; uncle, A. B. Coleman; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
