Larry Earl James, Sr. 71, of Castle Hayne, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 21, 2017.
Mr. James was born in Florence County, South Carolina, a son of the late Ethel Streett James and Dan Warren James. He retired from General Electric after 31 years as a maintenance mechanic. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dan W. James, Jr.
Surviving is his wife, Aletha Alexander James of Castle Hayne; sons, Larry Dallas Steisel of Connecticut, Larry Earl James, Jr. of Texas, Steven Michael James, Jonathan Mathew James and John Alexander James, all of Massachusetts; grandchildren, Jazmine B. Renteria and Brian James of Texas, Jessica B. Mallard, Steven M. James, Jr. and Travis James, all of South Carolina, Christopher Alexander Howell of North Carolina, and Kevin James of Massachusetts; a number of great-grandchildren; brother, Jeffrey Streett James of Georgia; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Andrews Market Street Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Andrews Market Street Chapel. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
