I remember Mr. Jeter when I was a little girl him and my parents were best friends. Now, he's in heaven with momma Laura. They are good people to be friends with. Larry Albert Jeter, 66 of Marianna, Florida passed from this life on August 9, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Larry was born on November 25, 1958 in Jackson County, Florida to Tommy Jeter and Johnnie Mae Weeks. Larry spent his days doing what he loved, tinkering with vehicles and lawn mowers. He enjoyed taking a good cat nap whenever he had the opportunity. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his family and will be missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Tommy and Johnnie Jeter; wives: Brenda Jeter and Laura Ann Jeter; daughter: Terra Riley; brothers: Franklin Jeter, Wayne Jeter, Flake Jeter, Carl Jeter; sister: Liz Boutwell.
He is survived by his sons: Ross Anthony Adams (Wendy Lowery) of Marianna, FL, Travis Jeter (Ashleigh McDonald) of Marianna, FL, Jammie Jeter (Jena) of Marianna, FL, Jared Jeter (Taylor) of Grand Ridge, FL; daughters: Barbara Jackson (Sean) of Marianna, FL, grandchildren; Lawson Ray Jackson (Jenna) of Marianna, FL, Caden Jackson (Alyssa) of Marianna, FL, Kinsleigh Jackson of Marianna, FL, Kaitlyn Jeter of Marianna, FL, Brenleigh Jeter of Marianna, FL, Brianna Shaw Bascom of Marianna, FL, Kristin Knowles of Tallahassee, FL, Tye Riley of Dothan, AL, Abigail Wilson of Grand Ridge, FL, Aribella Jeter of Grand Ridge, FL, Bowen Jeter of Grand Ridge, FL, Trent Adams of Wakulla, FL; 7 great grandchildren; father and mother in law: Doyle and Barbara Pumphrey of Cottondale, FL; sister in laws: Belinda White of Cottondale, FL, Wanda Jeter of Wausau, FL.
Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Obert Funeral Home Chapel in Chipley, Florida with Rev. Charles Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Sapp Church Cemetery in Cottondale, Florida. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida directing.
