I am so sorry for the passing of Larry, we grew up together on Garrard Avenue, played baseball together and went to church together, my prayers are with the family, we keep losing so many every passing year that we grew up with and makes one wonder about our own mortality prayers Leila bell, marie bell lewis

Shellman Bluff/Moultrie-Larry Elton Yawn, Sr., age 73, passed away Monday, June 8, 2015 at Candler Hospital.L.E. lived in Richmond Hill and Savannah most of his life. He has made his home in recent years between Shellman Bluff and Moultrie. He was a member of Silk Hope Baptist Church and was attending Emerald Hill Baptist Church in Moultrie. L.E. was a member of Solomon's Lodge #1, F.&A.M. He was retired from maintenance at Colonial Oil Company after many years of service.He is preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Jessie K. Yawn; his parents, Lonnie & Ruth Yawn; two brothers, Wilbur Yawn and Glenn Yawn.L.E. is survived by his wife, Laverne Kilgore Yawn; a daughter, Terrie Y.
