We were sad to hear of Larry's passing. Woolman Financial Group remembers him today and we are praying for comfort encouragement and a sweet time of remembering.

Sorry to hear of Larry's death. We were classmates at Lancaster, and I so appreciated him hosting our 50th class reunion. Blessings to all his family. I know he will be missed by many.

I went to school with Larry at Lancaster in the 1950's.
He was always a very friendly person when I knew him as a teenager.

Larry's Obituary

Larry E. Nave, 76, of Huntington, IN, passed away at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2017, at Vibra Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN. Mr. Nave was born on December 26, 1940, in Huntington, IN, to Lloyd and Blanche (Fulton) Nave. His parents preceded him in death. He was married to his wife, Katherine L. Smith, on October 23, 1960. She survives in Huntington, IN. Mr. Nave worked for Erie Railroad, Conrail Railroad and later Norfolk and Southern Railroad as an engineer for 37 years. He served in the United States Navy during the Cuban Crisis. He attended First Church of the Nazarene, Huntington, IN. He was a life member of VFW Post #2689, and a longtime member of the Eel River Tractor Pullers. He and his wife loved spending winters in Mission, Texas at Split Rail Park where they were named King and Queen of the park last year. Larry also served as the past president of the Split Rail Park. Along with his wife he is survived by two sons, Timothy (Sherion) Nave, Huntington, IN and Anthony (Caryn) Nave, Huntington, IN; one daughter, Penny (Roger) Emley, Wabash, IN; and four grandchildren, and seven greatgrandchildren. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers, Paul Dean Hubartt and Bernard Hubartt, Robert Nave, Rex Nave, and Dick Nave; two sisters, Dorothy Keiffer and Janice Psoinos. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at First Church of the Nazarene, 1555 Flaxmill Rd, Huntington, IN 46750 Additional calling will be on Friday, January 13, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at First Church of the Nazarene 1555 Flaxmill Rd., Huntington, IN. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at First Church of the Nazarene, 1555 Flaxmill Rd, Huntington, IN 46750, with Rev. Gene Vickery officiating. Private burial will be held at Cleveland Township Cemetery, South Whitley, IN. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Church of the Nazarene or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital., in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
