Larry Phillip Reed, Sr.
Larry Phillip Reed, Sr. was born May 6, 1950, in New Orleans, LA to the marital union of Oliver P. Reed, Jr and Edna Harrison Reed and passed away on Sunday April 7, 2024. He was the third son of four sons. Larry was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. He was educated in the New Orleans public school system at Booker T. Washington High School. Larry was a United States Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was employed by Kansas City Southern Railroad Company until retirement. Larry was the father of six children. Malikak Saban Reed, Larry Phillip Reed, Jr, India Chablis Reed, Damond Y. Reed, Sr., Desmond Y. Reed and Phillip L. Reed, Sr. Larry leaves to cherish his memory and legacy, his children, Malikak, Larry, India, Damond Sr., Desmond, and Phillip Reed Sr.; 12 grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren; his brothers, Oliver P. Reed, III, and Lionel Reed; First cousins, Delores Davis, Doris Brown, Joseph Harrison, and Howard Harrison; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, April 27, 2024, for 10:00 am, visitation 9:00 am at The Gertrude Geddes Willis Funeral Home,2120 Jackson Ave., New Orleans, LA 70113.
