I miss you, Dad. Every single day.

My sincere condolences to the family at this difficult time. May you all seek God for comfort, peace, strength and support (2 Cor 1:3).

Our heartfelt sympathy and prayers go out to you all. May faith and loving memories carry you through this difficult time. It was a pleasure knowing and doing business with him and his daddy. Rest in Peace dear friend.

Leslie, I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of your husband. My prayers are with you and your family.

Leslie, Scott and I are so sorry about Larry. He was such a kind and gentle man who helped a lot of people and in a very professional manner. We enjoyed visiting with you and he as well as your family at the Bench Bar Conference every year or so. He will be greatly missed by all.

We are heartbroken. No words are adequate at a time like this. We loved him like a brother, will miss him forever. We have many happy memories from our 50+ years of friendship. He was a kind man, had a heart of gold. Prayers and healing thoughts to Leslie, Lauren,Trey, Linsey, Harry, Tody and Mother Dorothy. So sorry for your loss.

Larry's Obituary

Larry A. “Bee” Roach, Jr. was born on May 19, 1958 and went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 10, 2018.

 

Larry graduated with honors from Barbe High School in 1976, and earned his B.S. from McNeese State University. He then attended Southern University Law Center where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Larry was an Owner and Senior Partner in the Roach Law Firm, along with his brother, Barry A. Roach, where he practiced for 26 years. Larry looked forward to mentoring his son and niece into the legal practice. He served as a member in the American Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Louisiana Association for Justice, the Southwest Louisiana Bar Association, and Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity.

 

Larry was an active member of the community, serving as past president of Kiwanis Club of South Lake Charles, McNeese State Alumni Board, Quarterback Club, Cowboy Club, Cajun Mustangers, and Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Southwest Louisiana. Larry’s hobbies included piloting his airplane, riding his motorcycle, driving his muscle cars, and spending time with his friends and family. Larry loved all and all that knew him loved him as well.

 

Larry is survived by his wife of 37 years, Leslie Richardson Roach; three children, Lauren Anne Roach, Larry “Trey” Arlen Roach, III (Jenna); and Linsey Aileen Roach; mother, Dorothy C. Roach; two brothers, Harry A. Roach, MD and Barry A. Roach (Patrice); sister Kathryn Toups (Brian) and many nieces and nephews.

 

Preceding Larry in death is his father, Larry A. Roach, Sr. and brother Garry A. Roach.

 

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Friday July 13, 2018 at St. Luke Simpson United Methodist Church with the Revs. Charlie Langford and Amy Castro officiating. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Thursday July 12 and continue from 11:00 AM until 12:45 at the funeral home.

 

Those serving as pallbearers will be Pat Blanchard, Tim Broussard, Mark Cormie, Judge David Deshotel, Mike Kyle, Mike Wedgeworth, Mike Wicks, and Adam Roach. Honorary pallbearers will be Judge Robert Wyatt, State Senator Jay Luneau, C. O. Vallett, Brian Coubarreaux, Damon Baldone, Randy Credeur, and Robert Brown.

 

In lieu flowers, donations may be made to St. Luke Simpson Manna Ministries or Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Southwest Louisiana.
