LARRY's Obituary

 

On August 11, 2024, Larry Paul Wobbe passed peacefully at his home in Sturgeon Lake, Minnesota at the age of 86.

He was born on March 19, 1938, in Devils Lake, North Dakota. He graduated from Sebeka High School. Larry married Sheila Perkins and they were blessed with 67 years together. They moved to Hoyt Lakes, Minnesota where they raised their 4 children. Larry worked for Erie Mining Company and after 30 years retired and moved to their lake home on Island Lake. They loved summers with family and friends and winters at their home in Alamo, Texas.

Larry and Sheila enjoyed spending time at their wilderness cabin on Butterball Lake in the Superior National Forest. He liked hunting, fishing, golf, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife: Sheila; children: Gary Wobbe of Hoyt Lakes; Cindy (Jeff) Philipczyk of Sturgeon Lake; Jill (Rick) Todd of Coon Rapids; Kim (Pat) Mismash of Edina; 9 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren; sister Patricia Husbyn of Minneapolis; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by parents: Paul and Virgina (Johnson) Wobbe.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be Tuesday, August 20, 2024 from 10 AM until the 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Hubert Catholic Church, 22008 Co Rd 23, Sebeka, MN 56477. A luncheon will be held directly after the Mass of Christan Burial. Interment with committal service will be at 1:30 PM in West Lyons Cemetery, Verndale, MN.
