I miss you, Grissy. I know I was your caregiver, but truthfully, you gave me just as much as I gave you. When I was studying, stressed, and doubting myself, you would encourage me. You believed in me. You would ask me about my tests and remind me that I was going to make it. I wish I could have told you in person that I passed my NCLEX. I know you would have smiled that big smile and said, `"i told you so" Becoming a nurse means even more to me because of people like you. You reminded me why...

I have sat with Larry at the Northfield Race Track many nights. A lot of our conversations were about his grandkids and their many sports accomplishments. We often talked about his Granddaughters military job which he was proud of her doing. It was obvious he was quite proud of them and how much family was a big part of his life. The fact that his granddaughters spend his last hours with him shows how much they meant to him as well. He will be greatly missed by me and his friends.
