Lawrence (Larry) Milton Jones Sr. passed away on Saturday June 21, 2025. He was born January 5, 1944, in Chicago, IL.to Marion and Dorthy Gibson Jones.
A resident of Gary, IN since 1955 where he joined Good Shepard with his parents. He graduated from Tolleston High School in 1963 and began serving in the Army. He retired from US Steel, where he met and married Rosie Jones.
He is survived by his 3 children: Lawrence M. Jones (Leslie) of WA, Lauren Jones, Laurence Jones 6 Grand Children: Daisha (Kyle) Sullivan, Malik Jones, Emanuel Jones, LaMarion Short, Liam Lewis, Liah Lewis and 2 great grandchildren Alyssa and Elias Sullivan, Sisters Trudy Wilkins and Ursula (Lillian) Parker, Brother Rudy (Karma) Jones. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, niece Sundra Philette Jones nephew Brandon Wilkins, Brother in Love Bill Wilkins and children's mother and friend Darlene Hannon.
