I had forgotten that Allen's first name was Lee. I will remember him as a very sweet and kind person, coming from a fine family. He was a Classmate all the way through 1970 when we Graduated. He will be greatly missed by all.

Lee Allen Leger, Sr., 66, of Gillis passed away at 8:30 AM on Monday, November 12, 2018 in a Sulphur hospital.
Mr. Leger was born on February 27, 1952 in Eunice to Joseph Emery and Pearl Leger as the youngest of seven children. He lived most of his life in the Gillis area. Mr. Leger was a graduate of Sam Houston High School and attended Sowela. He began working for the local plants as a machinist before earning the title of an operator.
He will be remembered as being a loving father and all around good man and will be sorely missed by his family and all who were blessed to have known him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Lee Allen Leger, Jr. of Gillis, Corey Fruge (Miska) of Lacassine, and Gabe Fruge of Sulphur; siblings, Norma Boudreaux of Lake Charles, Joyce L. Anderson (James) of Lake Charles, Jimmy Leger (Carol) of Gillis, and Silton Leger (Jennifer) of Gillis; three grandchildren, Hannah, Taylor, and Sydney Fruge; as well as loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Wilbert and Joseph Milbon Leger.
A funeral mass will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, November 16, 2018 at St. Theodore Catholic Church. The Rev. Aubrey Guilbeau will officiate. Burial will follow in New Ritchie Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. Visitation will begin on Thursday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Friday from 10:00 AM until leaving for the church at 1:00 PM.
