Melvin G Smith, 95 of Kansas City, formerly of Blackwater, MO died Sunday, June 9th. Melvin was born October 25, 1917 in Pilot Grove, MO to Bessie Woodridge and George D. Smith. Melvin married Dixie J Piatt on August 22, 1940. Melvin is survived by his wife of 72 years, Dixie, one son, Dwain Smith, 2 granddaughters, Jami Hepting and Jody Beynon and one great grandson, Landon Beynon, all of Kansas City.
