Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Petrolia Cemetery with Pastor Caleb Sowell, officiating. Lena was born on April 23, 1943 to the late James Henry and Vera Ellen (Twilligear) Hankins in Wichita Falls. She was a business owner for many years. Lena met and married Kenneth R. Garvin and spent many wonderful years together before his passing in 2024.

Lena was the heart of her family. A loving mother, devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. Lena was a woman of quiet strength and deep compassion. Her love was steady, her presence comforting, and her wisdom a guiding light to all who knew her. Lena built her family on faith, resilience and unconditional love. The legacy she left behind, will continue for generations. Although she is no longer with us in body, her spirit lives on in the lessons she taught, the cherished memories and the love she gave so freely. Lena will be forever loved and remembered.

Along with her husband and parents, Lena was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Skyla Bingham; and six siblings.

She is survived by her children, Sherry Kiser, Monica Givens, Monte Yancey, Georgeana Latham and George Latham; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and many other loved family members and friends.
