LENA MATYK (nee Meserini), age 86, born in Cleveland, OH, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2019 surrounded by her family. For 60 years she was the beloved wife of Bernard Matyk; loving mother of Andrew (Cheri) and Mary Lee Hafez (Khaled); spirited grandmother of Andrew, Amanda, and Samir. Devoted daughter of the late Fred and Mary Meserini; dear sister of Helen Sutila and Frank Meserini (Jean). Throughout Lena’s life she enjoyed sewing, reading stories, and taking long walks. Her cooking was an expression of her love for her family and friends. The family suggests contributions be made to the National Parkinson’s Foundation, parkinson.org. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Rocco Church, 3205 Fulton Rd, Cleveland, Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 10 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends received at THE RIPEPI FUNERAL HOME, 5762 PEARL RD.
