Lenny Thomas Ward, 51, passed away Friday, March 13 2026 at Hospice of Wichita Falls.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2026 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Lenny was born on March 23, 1974 in Wichita Falls to Larry and Linda (Hawkins) Ward. He was a graduate of S.H. Rider High School, and the Vernon College nursing program. In his early years, Lenny was employed as a mechanic at his father’s shop, Ward’s Automotive, later as a correctional officer at James V. Allred Unit, and then as a nurse at the State Hospital.
Lenny married Jessica Ruth Bindel on April 15 2004. On September 9, 2004 Lenny adopted Jessica’s son, Kaleb, raising him as his own. In 2011, Lenny and Jessica were blessed with a daughter, Elizabeth Marie Ward (Ellie).
Lenny enjoyed working on cars, spending time with his family, watching sci-fi movies, and discussing politics.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Claude Hawkins, Helen Faye (Gibson) Hawkins, and Harold Odell Ward.
Lenny is survived by his wife Jessica; son Kaleb and wife Meg Ward; daughter Elizabeth Ward; his parents; sister Lorie Ward; along with numerous other family members on both sides.
If desiring, memorials may be made in Lenny’s name to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
