Not sure what to say?

I’m deeply saddened to see this on Facebook. My heart hurts for each of you. Your Mama was beautiful inside and out. Sending prayers of strength during this difficult time. With deepest sympathies, Jennifer Genzer Biggs

Condolences to the family.

I remember looking forward to going to Neill family thanksgiving or Christmas at Nonies house on the river getting to explore and run around visiting with loved ones and how her home was always filled with so much joy and happiness I’ll never forget how her house smelled of holiday feasts you’d walk into her home and be able to feel all the love and life!! I’ll cherish those memories forever and remember them always!

Nonie was big sister to Pug and my good friend, Sis. In my sleepovers at their home in Blanco in my childhood there, Nonie was a part of memorable morning breakfast cooked by her mother, Vi. She and Vi smiled as I chose any of the burnt biscuits. Theirs was like a home away from home. Nonie always made me feel at home. God bless and welcome you home.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. Kirk, Colby Ray, Cindy, Terri and families my sincerest condolences to each of you. I havee had the pleasure over the last year of running into Nonie and talking with her. She had looked so good. The news of her passing is really shocking. May she rest in peace and be reunited with Jack and those who have gone on before her. With my deepest sympathy, Tracy-lou Lovelace-Funderburg (Rust)

A Christian Lady if there ever was one! May she rest in Peace

We will miss you ,dear sweet cousin

Our thoughts and prayers are with Mrs. Felps's family and friends. She was such a friendly person and very pleasant to visit with. I always enjoyed our visits at her grandchildren's sporting events and at the post office or any of the other places that we happened to run into each other. I know her family and friends will miss her greatly.

Obituary

Lenona "Nonie"'s Obituary

Lenona “Nonie” Andrea Felps went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at her home in Blanco, surrounded by the love of her family, on September 21, 2025. Lenona was born on May 8, 1940, in the Historic Blanco Courthouse to Josie Viola (Glenn) Neill and Thomas Terry Neill. Lenona spent all of her formative years at Blanco ISD, graduating in the Class of 1958. She excelled academically as a student and enjoyed participating in Future Homemakers of America, as well as serving as Fall Festival Queen and FFA Sweetheart during her senior year. Lenona married her high school sweetheart, Jack Felps, on January 31, 1959. She attended the Durham Business School in Austin after they married, then soon began building their life in Blanco. She and Jack were blessed with two sons, Kirk Lacy and Colby Ray.

Lenona spent time in the home raising her children, then later was employed by Blanco ISD in the administration office and the United States Postal Service in Blanco. Retiring in 2000 from the postal service, Lenona and Jack enjoyed traveling and spending time with family.

Lenona found her faith in the love of Christ in early childhood as a member of the Blanco Church of Christ in Blanco. Her unwavering trust guided her path for a life well lived as a faithful servant in Christ. Lenona served her church as a Sunday school teacher and volunteered in her community by serving Lunches of Love, Meals on Wheels, and the Good Samaritan Center. She was also an active member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy.

Lenona spent many hours traveling to extracurricular activities for her children and grandchildren. She loved to cook, garden, and play games, and although she was a fair-skinned redhead, she enjoyed outdoor activities with her family.

Lenona is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Jack Felps; her parents, Viola and Thomas Neill; and her sister, Lois Neill Ewald. She is survived by her sons, Kirk Felps (Sheila) and Colby Felps (Natalie); six grandchildren, Calen McNett (Maddie), Ky McNett (Karli), Cade, Kinley, Kendall, and Cassidy; seven great-grandchildren, Crae, Cal, Mace, Cort, Hayden, Weston and Logan; sisters, Margaret Neill Weidner (Jerrol) and Cindy Neill Graham (Bret); brother, Terry Neill (Sandy). She was also loved by numerous nieces and nephews.

Lenona, affectionately known by many as either Nonie, GiGi, or Granny, will be remembered for her kindness, tough love, honesty, and her love for the word of Christ.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Sunday, September 28, 2025 at Crofts - Crow Funeral Home in Blanco.  Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Monday, September 29, 2025 in the historic Blanco Cemetery.
