Sorry for your loss! Sorry I couldn't make it to the service but I will be praying for everyone! Remember him always making me laugh all the time when I was a kid and him and my dad always joking with each other! He will be missed but not forgotten

I am so sorry for your loss. And I am sorry that I can't attend the memorial service, I had hoped to be there in support but know that I am there in spirit. I have one wonderful memory of Leon..one, because it was the same each time I saw him..He could always make me laugh. Love you all.

I didn't know your dad, but from reading through the guest book, I can tell he was a wonderful sweet man, and will be greatly missed. It is so hard to lose a parent no matter our age. He will always be in your heart. I have been praying for his strength and comfort during his illness, and I hope it helps comfort you and your family knowing he is healthy and out of pain as he walks with our Lord. Leon's Obituary

Leon Emmett Booth, Sr., 76, of Roanoke went to be with the Lord on May 1, 2017.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson and Elsie Booth; and sister-in-law, Karen Booth.

Leon is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Brenda Booth; children, Lyssa Stroud, Leann Booth, Wendy Booth (George), Kristi Stone (Warren), Leon Booth, Jr., (Patsy), Link Booth (Michelle), Steve Booth (Jill), Mark Booth (Jesse), Chris Booth (Kim);  brothers, Danny (Brenda), Tommy, Carl (Dinah), Richard (Brenda), Darrell (Sherry); Sisters, Sandra Booth, Janet Poff (Mike); eighty-plus grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Thanks to his special caregivers, grandson, Adam Booth, Kara Freeman, RN and special great-grandson Landynn and also to Carilion Hospice for their loving care of Leon.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hollins Road Church of the Brethren in memory of Leon Booth.  A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Oakey’s North Chapel with Pastor Horace Light and Pastor Glenn Stevens officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., prior to the service.  Arrangements by Oakey’s North Chapel.
