Leonard "Lenny" Bacon Sr.

GLENS FALLS --- Leonard A. Bacon, Sr., 73, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 17, 2023.

Born January 4, 1950, in Glens Falls, he was the son of Gilbert and Sarah (Sumner) Bacon.

After graduating high school, Lenny worked in property maintenance.

He married Rose Morgan on August 8, 1970, in Glens Falls.

Lenny’s greatest joy in life was his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He will always be remembered for being so generous, always tinkering with cars and electronics and his funny remarks criticizing Rose’s T.V. shows. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, and most of all husband to his soulmate, Rose.

In addition to his parents, Leonard was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph “BoBo” Bacon and Ronnie Bacon.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 53 years, Rose Bacon; children, Mary Burden (William) and Leonard Bacon, Jr. (Brittany); grandchildren, Andrew Bacon (Maelynn), Sarah Conyers (Darell), William Burden, Jr., Brandon Burden, Sophia Gatchell, Lailah Bacon, and Julia Bacon; great-grandchildren, Arianna Bacon, Benjamin Bacon, and Colton Stangle; sister, Judy Bacon; brother, Danny Bacon (Sherry); also several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Joanne Vannier for being a dear friend and caretaker to Lenny and his wife for the past 7 years.
