Not sure what to say?

My sweet nephew, I remember you young and happy, may god bring you peace, and rest. You are always in my heart.

Leonard's Obituary

Leonard was born August 6, 1962, in Murray, Utah and died on October 11, 2025. He was the third of five boys born to Arthur P. and Viola E. Lucero. Leonard enjoyed spending his early youth hunting and fishing and spending time in the Oquirrh mountains near Lark, Utah. He was especially close to his family during this time.

Leonard was preceded in death by his grandparents, several uncles and aunts, cousins and a nephew.

Leonard is survived by his parents, brothers Aron Lucero, Arthur Jr. (Panee) Lucero, Jeffrey (Tobi) Lucero, and Matthew Lucero as well as nieces and nephews. Leonard did not marry or have any children in his life. He loved and was proud of all his family and his New Mexico heritage and Spanish roots.

Unfortunately, for Leonard and our family he suffered from mental illness from an early age to the end of his life. He spent most of his teenage years and all his adult life receiving services for people with serious and persistent mental illness. Although his life could be called tragic, our family takes comfort in his passing, knowing that we will see him again.

“Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out … to a resurrection of life. John 5:28-29”.
