Leonel's Obituary
FALL RIVER – Leonel C. Crancha, 82, of Fall River, died Monday, November 27th at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Maria L. (Roias) Crancha. Born in Ponta Garca, St. Michael, Azores, he was the son of the late Antonio da Costa Crancha and Maria Paixao (Pacheco) Crancha; he resided in Fall River since 1977. Mr. Crancha worked as a laborer for several years at Fall River Forms. He was a member of Santo Christo Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Helena M. Galego, Leonor C. Carreiro and Teresa J. Crancha, all of Fall River; four sons, Antonio E. Crancha, Joao E. Crancha, Leonel R. Crancha and Peter Crancha, all of Fall River; three sisters; three brothers; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.His Funeral will be held Saturday, December 2nd at 7:30 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia Street, Fall River, followed by a Funeral Mass at 8:30 a.m. in Santo Christo Church, Columbia Street, Fall River. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Robeson Street, Fall River. Calling hours Friday 4-8 p.m.
