Not sure what to say?

I met him once , he was my first cousin, I would like some family member to contact me and re-connect

Terri,
I'm deeply saddened to get this info.

On behalf of the Class of 73 and all WWHS Alumni, we extend our Deepest Sympathies to Larry's Family and Friends.

Terri, I know you are sad and I pray that you will remember all the good times with your husband. He is always with you in the wind that blows and the sun that warms your face. He is ok and you will see him again one day. Love, Georgiann

Thank you for being a part of my life. You will be missed, my friend.

Terry
I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. On the few occasions I met Larry and some with him at Sue and Don’s, he always made me laugh when he referred to me as “Boo Radley”
May happy memories get you through these tough times.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.

A good friend and will be missed

Terry, So sorry to hear of Larry's passing. I remember him from Wilson and of course we reconnected when I was working at the doctors office. Prayers for you and family.

Leroy's Obituary

LeRoy Larry Madden, Jr.

Larry Madden passed away peacefully on August 16, 2020 after a brief illness.  He was born in Portsmouth, VA in 1954, the son of Mary Zirkle Madden and LeRoy Larry Madden, Sr.

Larry graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Portsmouth in 1973.  He worked at Norshipco before enrolling at ECPI to learn information technology.  He worked in ITT for the private sector before transitioning to the ITT department in the City of Chesapeake, until he retired.

Larry is survived by his wife of 36 years, Teresa Brown Madden, sister-in-law Susan B. Comer (Don), niece Kathleen, brother-in-law Michael J. Brown (Cheryl), nephew, Conor and his sisters Eileen Cole and Darlene Rhodes and a cousin, Blanche Sykes.

Larry enjoyed outdoor activities---boating-especially in the Chesapeake Bay area-scuba-diving the wrecks off the Outer Banks of North Carolina, and camping and hiking on the Eastern Shore and in the mountains of Virginia. He loved history and political discussions with his friends. We will all miss Larry’s wry sense of humor.

A graveside service will be held 10:30 am Tuesday, August 25, at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk, Virginia

In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to a charity of your choice. Condolences may be made at BWFosterFuneralHome.com.
