Leslie's Obituary

Leslie Ann Langland Paschel of Wichita Falls, Texas passed away peacefully on her 77th birthday Saturday, March 8, 2025 after a courageous 17-year battle with Parkinson’s.

Leslie was born to the late Martin Oliver and Fairy Belle (Kramer) Langland in Virginia, Minnesota. She was an alumna of Wichita Falls Senior High School, University of North Texas,  (formally known as North Texas State University) and West Texas State University.

Leslie devoted her life to education. She was instrumental in developing gifted and talented programs, curriculum and outstanding teachers throughout Texas. Leslie left a lasting impact on students and in the educational field.

Leslie was known for her intellect and dedication, but also her timeless beauty, impeccable style, quick wit and sharp sense of humor. She loved animals, had a talent for needlepoint, creating intricate works of art with the same care and precision she brought to every aspect of life. Leslie will be missed by many family and friends.

Leslie is survived by a sister, Rachel King of Wichita Falls; two nieces Megan Neff of Wichita Falls and Dori Farah and husband, Andrew of San Francisco; and three great-nieces, Josephine, Matilda and Bennet Farah.

The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Earle Crawford House of Hope, the Gables of Rolling Meadows and the compassionate staff and physicians of URHC for the love and care of Leslie.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at the Garden of Flowers at Crestview Memorial Gardens with Rev. Eric Stinnette of St. Paul Lutheran Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens and Brumley of Wichita Falls.

The family suggests donations may be made to  ASPCA, www.aspca.org or Parkinson’s Foundation www.parkinsonfoundation.org in memory of Leslie.
